BAGS

This sector includes all building materials that are bagged, such as cement, lime, plaster and mortar.

Critical points

  • Bags tend to slide over each other
  • The sides of the bags can be very sharp and create a sharp edge on the pallet
  • The weight of the pallet can be very high (over 1000 kg)
  • The thickness of the stretch films used in this application is high and averagely between 23 and 35 µm.

HIPAC solutions

Hipac premium films provide an excellent combination of prestretch, rigidity and puncture resistance. They reduce the amount of plastic used to pack and stabilise the load during storage and transportation. Depending on the wrapping machine, it is possible to use:

  • 111 Super Power, if the wrapping machine is very fast and reaches high prestretch (>250%).
  • 333, if the wrapping machine is slightly less performing (pre-stretching up to 250%).
  • 555, if the wrapping machine does not have a prestretch group, but a simple brake.
