Buckets and cans

BUCKETS AND CANS

This sector includes all building materials that are packaged in tins or buckets, such as paints, adhesives, sealants.

Critical points

  • Pallets are very heavy and difficult to stabilise
  • Buckets contain liquids or powders that move inside the container during transportation
  • Wrapped goods can significantly re-enter from the wooden pallets, creating protrusions that make wrapping with stretch film more difficult
  • The thickness of the stretch films used in this application is high and averagely between 20 and 30 µm.

HIPAC solutions

Hipac premium films provide an excellent combination of prestretch, rigidity and puncture resistance. They reduce the amount of plastic used to pack and stabilise the load during storage and transportation. Depending on the wrapping machine, it is possible to use:

  • 111 Super Power, if the wrapping machine is very fast and reaches high prestretch (>250%).
  • 333, if the wrapping machine is slightly less performing (pre-stretching up to 250%).
  • 555, if the wrapping machine does not have a prestretch group, but a simple brake.
