Cold logistics

COLD LOGISTICS

This sector includes all frozen food producers, who have to guarantee the cold chain all the way to the supermarket shelf.

Critical points

  • The film must function correctly during winding at extreme cold storage temperatures (-25°C)
  • The film must be able to withstand extremely low temperatures during storage
  • The film must have a high cling power to guarantee the package’s resistance over time.

HIPAC solutions

We have developed two products for this sector:

  • 999 Extra-rigid: pre-stretched film in ultra-thin thickness. The film is rigid, tough and has reinforced edges for greater resistance during application. The reel is anti-shock and will not be damaged if dropped on the ground (recommended thickness: 5-7 µm).
  • 555 Rigid: reduces the amount of film used for packaging by up to 50%. It is extremely tough and conforms to pallet irregularities. The NetRoll version without cardboard core, used with the Hipac Handynet dispenser, protects the reel if it accidentally falls to the ground. The film is available with reinforced edges for double strength (recommended thickness: 7-12 µm).

Both products are available in Low Temperature version, specifically developed to allow stretch film to work effectively and safely at the most extreme temperatures (down to -25°C).
